2013 Mediterranean Trip

a few images form my vacation to Italy, France, and Spain

I can’t believe it’s been 4 months since I went on this fantastic trip to Spain, France, and Italy, and I’m just now getting a chance to post some of my images from it! This is just a taste… there are so many, I can’t possibly post them all on here. From eating tapas and drinking sangria on La Rambla, to hiking along the mediterranean coastline at the Cinque Terre, everything about this trip was incredible! I can’t wait to go back.

Tuolumne Meadows

Stars over Tuolumne Meadows

This past weekend I was camping up at Tuolumne Meadows in Yosemite National Park. It was stunningly beautiful up there. It makes me wonder why I don’t do more of these weekend trips when I live so close to so many incredible places. Anyway, no weekend camping trip would be complete without at least one landscape shot! Since the moon was almost entirely gone, I figured this would be the ideal time to try and capture the milky way above the meadow. Now I can’t wait to go back! Although, hopefully next time I’m waiting for the stars to come out, it’s a little warmer than 38 degrees.

Paprika Recipe App

environmental product photography of the Paprika app

Eric Herrmann — Paprika App Recipe Manager App

Every once in a while, a true studio product shot just doesn’t really do a product justice. Sometimes you need to take it out of the studio and put a little context around whatever it is you’re shooting. That’s the case for the image above of the Paprika app. It’s a recipe managing app, and it’s awesome. It’s available on iPhone/iPad/Android/Mac, is super easy to use, and looks really nice too. There are so many apps these days that just show screenshots or drop a screenshot into a stock image of a tablet or device, but none of them ever seem to really relate to the product. So, for this shot, I really wanted to show the Paprika app on a real device, in an environment it would actually get used in.
